Together, let's cultivate our children's future through gardening and healthy eating education.
Welcome to the Vegetable Garden World Cup!
Competition organized by Landestini
"Knowing how to produce food is as fundamental as knowing how to read, write and count"
Fanny Agostini and Henri Landes, co-founders of Landestini
At Landestini, we believe that the vegetable garden is a classroom. Every child has the right to understand how to eat healthily, regardless of where they live and the socio-economic situation of their family. Every child also has the right to access nature.
The vegetable garden is a fantastic educational tool that allows you to learn about nutrition, food, nature, biodiversity, climate, soils, water, in a practical and fun way.
At the vegetable garden, we can also teach other disciplines than life and earth sciences: art, history, languages, French and literature. Many participants in the Vegetable Garden World Cup make the vegetable garden a multidisciplinary project and a global project on sustainable development. The experience of the Vegetable Garden Cup is not only an ecological initiative, it is also a human experience and a project with a social impact.
Our vision is that all schools and educational structures will soon have a vegetable garden, and that maintaining them with students on a daily basis must be part of the school curriculum.
A competition but above all an educational experience!
From the moment we get our hands in the soil, we win! There are ten prizes to be won in the World Vegetable Garden Cup, but everyone is a winner just by participating!
The trainers and facilitators of the Vegetable Garden World Cup are experts or professionals in vegetable gardens, gardens, and biodiversity. Our experts support schools and organizations in creating their vegetable gardens through videoconferences, the distribution of tutorials, quizzes and challenges, and a "vegetable gardener's guide" with step-by-step advice on how to create and maintain a vegetable garden.
When you register, you will receive numerous educational resources, links and useful documents to bring the project to life with your class or group of young people.
How many participants are there in the world?
In 2024, during the first edition of the Vegetable Garden World Cup, 25 countries were represented, and more than 200 schools and 4000 young people participated!
